Brendan
comes from Wexford in the south east of Ireland. He was born into a very musical
family, and took up music as a career playing Irish traditional and folk
music.
In
the 1980s Brendan became lead singer with the rock band Cry
Before Dawn, which was voted best Irish band in 1990 at the national music
awards. They had two top selling albums
and toured extensively.
In
1996 Brendan, together with Paul Bell wrote a tribute to Wexford Hurling
(national Sport) which went to No.1 in Ireland. The songs are now part of the Wexford
folklore. In
1998 he played uillean pipes on the album of Angelo Branduardi
(Il
Dito E La Luna).
He
has been singing and playing with Bow Triplets since 2004. |
